The Website and the mobile application are owned and operated by Salam Studio & Stores, company registered in Qatar (CR #37) with its registered office at PO Box 121 located at The Gate Mall, Tower 1, 9th Floor, Maysaloun 63 Street, Doha, Qatar.

A. What Information do we collect and how?

The info given when you sign up for an account on the Website or on the mobile application, or place an order for products, or complete any online or off-line form (example in-store and/or online surveys), participate in social media events/promotions with our website and mobile application, or communicate with us via any channel (ins-store, email, phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp chat, social media, etc..).

E. How do we secure your data?

Your information and its security is critical for us. That is why we take different measures to ensure that they are safely stored on secure servers.

Any payment transaction carried out on our website or on our mobile application is encrypted using MPGS 3D Secure technology. It is your responsibility to keep any Website passwords or login codes issued to or chosen by you, confidential.

All credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.

We also require that you establish a unique username and password to access your account on our website or mobile application and not to keep details of your credit or debit card that would enable any third party to transact using that credit or debit card (such as your CVV number).

F. How to delete or deactivate your Account?

Customers can delete customer data or deactivate customer account through following options

  • Salams Mobile apps: customer can login through “Salams” Mobile apps to delete account
    • Step 1: Login to Salams Mobile apps
    • Step 2: Goto Menu option “More”
    • Step 3: select Manage Account - >Revoke google login or revoke Facebook login or revoke apple login or Delete Account
  • Contacting Salam customer care: contact Salam customer care through contact us page from “Salams.com” website or raise Ticket through “Salams” Mobile app
    • Step 1: Go to url: https://www.salams.com/ and
    • Step 2: Goto Contact us page to request to delete the customer account or customer Data Or
    • Goto Mobile apps “Salams” and select More option –Raise complaint to delete the customer account through service request with description to remove google login, remove the Facebook login, remove the apple login or other device login.

Once your account has been deleted, all the information will no longer be available to you across any Salam channels, including Salam stores, Salam website, and Salam mobile application. Once your account is closed, it is no longer accessible by you or anyone else, and it cannot be restored. If you decide later that you want to start ordering again through Salam website or Salam mobile application, or earning Salam Rewards points at Salam stores, you will need to create a new account.

By deleting your account from the Salam mobile application, your connected accounts via Apple, google, Facebook, or any other linked accounts via Apple, google, Facebook will be unliked and disconnected from your Salam account. We will not have access to certain information and content from these accounts, and your privacy settings and privacy policy for those accounts will not be affected by this deletion of your account.

Deleting your account means you won’t have access to the products, and purchase orders, and any information associated with your closed account.

  • Your profile information, and all your profile details (purchase history, exchange and returns, added items in the wish list, added items in the cart, saved addresses, Salam rewards program membership and Salam rewards points, account, and financial details, all raised complaints, all other user-specific data related to your account) will be removed.
  • You will not be able to login again, and you will not have access to any stored order details, refund details, wish list and/or any data previously stored in your account.
  • Loyalty points or any stored credit information will be removed, and all the previously earned Salam Rewards points will not be valid for purchasing any products from all the Salam stores, and the Salam eCommerce website, and the Salam Mobile Application
  • The deleted account cannot be retrieved in any way after deleting that account.
  • Salam has the right to keep few customers transaction detail for internal financial auditing purposes only.

G. Children’s Privacy

The Salam eCommerce system, mobile application, CRM application, and any other websites operated by Salam do not address anyone under the age of 18, and all online purchasing activities are addressed to the online audience/users above the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children or anyone under 18. In the case we discover that a child or any person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this information from our servers and databases. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.
